Automatic margin trimming
Every page is checked for where the printed content actually is, and the white space around it is trimmed with a small border left. It works for text, drawings and scans alike.
Or pick the area yourself
Drag a rectangle on the first page, or type how many percent to cut from each edge. The same area is kept on every page, which suits slides, receipts and two-up scans.
Nothing is rasterized
Cropping changes the visible area of each page. Text stays text, vectors stay sharp and the file does not get blurrier.
Crop PDF pages: what to expect
Wide margins waste space on a phone or e-reader, where every millimetre of screen counts. Trimming them makes the text larger when the page is fitted to the screen, which is the most common reason people crop a PDF. Scanned pages benefit too: the grey scanner edge and the empty bottom half of a receipt disappear.
Automatic trimming looks at each page on its own, so a document with different layouts per page gets the right crop everywhere. Blank pages are left as they are. Selecting an area is better when you want exactly the same crop on every page, for example to cut a header and footer from a printout or to keep only a slide from exported speaker notes.
Cropping hides the area outside the box; it does not permanently delete it. The hidden content is still in the file, so do not rely on cropping to remove confidential information. For that you need redaction.

- Is the content outside the crop deleted?
- No. It is hidden from view and printing, but still inside the file. Do not use cropping to remove sensitive information.
- Can I crop each page differently?
- Automatic trimming finds the right crop for each page on its own. A selected area applies to every page.
- Does text stay selectable?
- Yes. Pages are not turned into images.
- Does it work on scanned PDFs?
- Yes. Automatic trimming looks at what is printed on the page, whether it is text or a scan.
- What happens to blank pages?
- With automatic trimming they are left uncropped.
