Fonts embedded
Fonts available on our servers are embedded in the PDF. Fonts we do not have are substituted with metric-compatible equivalents, which can shift line breaks.
Links and headings kept
Hyperlinks stay clickable and heading structure becomes PDF bookmarks where the document uses real heading styles.
Convert Word to PDF: what to expect
Word files change appearance depending on who opens them: installed fonts, Word version, page size defaults. PDF freezes the layout, which is why applications, contracts and CVs travel as PDF.
We convert with LibreOffice running headless in an isolated sandbox with no network access. For typical business documents the result is faithful. Documents that depend on Microsoft-only fonts (Calibri, Cambria) are rendered with metric-compatible substitutes (Carlito, Caladea), which keep line lengths but look slightly different.
Complex features such as tracked changes, embedded macros, SmartArt and some text effects are the usual sources of differences. If exactness matters, check the PDF page by page before sending; the conversion is fast enough to iterate.

- Will it look exactly like in Word?
- Close, not guaranteed identical. LibreOffice is not Word. Fonts and advanced features are the usual differences.
- Are my fonts embedded?
- Fonts we have are embedded. Missing fonts are substituted; Calibri and Cambria get metric-compatible replacements.
- Do hyperlinks work in the PDF?
- Yes. Links and real headings are preserved.
- Are macros run?
- No. Macros are never executed, and the sandbox has no network access.
- Which formats are accepted?
- DOCX, DOC, ODT and RTF, up to 100 MB.
