Terms of use

These terms apply when you use ConvertPDF at convertpdf.io, through its API or MCP server, or from apps such as ChatGPT and Claude.

Who we are

ConvertPDF is operated by PC7, Primož Cigoj s.p., Cesta Andreja Bitenca 68, 1000 Ljubljana, Slovenia. Contact: [email protected].

The service

ConvertPDF lets you merge, split, compress, convert, organize, protect and sign documents. Files are processed on servers we operate and deleted within one hour of each job finishing, as described in the privacy policy. You can use the tools without an account within a daily allowance; a free account raises it. The current limits are shown on the pricing page and may change.

Pro and credit packs

• Prices. Prices are shown in US dollars on the pricing page and at checkout. Payment is handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.
• Pro renews automatically every month or year until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account; Pro then stays active until the end of the period you paid for and does not renew. Pro has no daily task limit for personal and business use by one person, with a safety ceiling against automated abuse described on the pricing page.
• Credits are added to your account once Stripe confirms the payment. They never expire, have no cash value and cannot be transferred. They are used only after the day's free tasks; heavy tools use more credits, as shown on the pricing page. A job that fails on our side gives its credits back automatically.
• Right of withdrawal. Pro and credits are digital services that start straight away when you ask for them by paying. If you are a consumer in the EU, you may withdraw within 14 days of purchase and get a refund for an unused credit pack, or for Pro if you have not used it beyond the free allowance, by writing to [email protected]. Credits already used are not refunded.
• Changes. If we change the price of Pro, we tell you by email before your next renewal, and you can cancel before it applies.

Your files and your responsibility

You keep all rights to the files you upload and the results. You give us only the permission needed to process them for you. You confirm that you have the right to process the files you upload and that doing so does not break the law or anyone else's rights. Because results are deleted within an hour, download what you need and keep your own copies.

Acceptable use

• No unlawful content, malware or files designed to attack software.
• No attempts to probe, overload or disrupt the service, or to get around limits, for example by creating accounts or switching networks to reset the daily allowance.
• No reselling of the service as your own without our written agreement.

We may limit or suspend access that harms the service or other users.

API, MCP and connected apps

API keys and app connections are tied to your account and count against its allowance. Keep keys secret; you are responsible for use made with them until you revoke them. When you connect ConvertPDF to a third-party app such as ChatGPT or Claude, that app's own terms apply to your use of it.

No warranty

We work hard to make conversions accurate, but documents vary and results can differ from the original, especially for scans, complex layouts and OCR. Check important results before relying on them. The service is provided as is and as available.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data or lost profits, and our total liability for the free service is limited to 100 EUR. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.

Changes and ending

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and significant changes are announced on the site first. You can stop using ConvertPDF and ask us to delete your account at any time.

Law

These terms are governed by Slovenian law. Courts in Ljubljana have jurisdiction, without taking away the protection consumers have in the country where they live.

The ConvertPDF logo mark is based on a design by Freepik, used under the Freepik free licence with attribution. Tool pictograms and the rest of the interface are our own work.
