Fit without distortion
Each page is scaled to fit the new paper and centred. Proportions are kept, nothing is cropped or stretched.
Stays sharp
Pages are scaled as vector content, not re-rendered, so text remains selectable and crisp at any zoom.
Mixed sizes made uniform
Documents assembled from different sources often mix Letter, A4 and odd scanner sizes. Every page ends up on the same paper, landscape pages on landscape paper.
Resize PDF pages: what to expect
Printers and print shops expect one paper size. A Letter-sized contract printed on A4 gets its footer cut off or shrinks unpredictably, and a merged PDF with pages of different sizes prints unevenly. Resizing first gives you control over the result.
Letter and A4 differ by only a few percent, so converting between them scales the content by about 94 to 97 percent, which is barely noticeable. Going from A4 to A5 halves the area and makes small print smaller still; going to A3 enlarges everything for posters and wall charts.
Add a small or large margin if your printer cannot print to the edge, or to leave room for binding and hole punching. “None” uses the full page.

- Is anything cropped?
- No. Pages are scaled down or up to fit completely inside the new size.
- What happens to landscape pages?
- They are placed on landscape paper of the chosen size, so they are not shrunk onto a portrait page.
- Does text stay selectable?
- Yes. Pages are scaled as vectors, not turned into images.
- Are links and form fields kept?
- No. The page content is kept, but links, form fields and comments are not carried over. Flatten a filled form first if you need its values.
- Which sizes are available?
- A4, US Letter, US Legal, A3 and A5.
